This sweet story takes place mostly in Spain but it's characters are the usual style for Wickham, being British. A classic "Kinsella" girly story that lacks on the romance but makes up in humor, I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars for charm and entertainment.
Centering around two couples, each is invited by their wine taster extraordinare friend to use his vacation home in the south of Span to get away from it all for a week. Not realizing that they have been double booked, Hugh, Amanda and their two daughters plus a nanny in tow are startled when they find that Chloe, Phillip and their two sons have arrived on the same day, also expecting to have a family holiday away from the pressures of home life. However, it's not until the end that they all realize that their link to the villa's owner is not their only link to each other.
Unfortunately the review stops there. Where this book was entertaining and very fun to read, unlike Wickham/Kinsella's other books, it wasn't as enthralling thus earning fewer stars. For housewives or post-teens (women in their early 20's), I do recommend this book. For anyone else, I suggest trying it out from a library rather than a purchase.
As always, happy reading!
